Holo Holo Charters Redesign & Renovation
We are excited to announce the launch of our newly redesigned Holo Holo Charters Headquarters!
Holo Holo Charters has been located on the garden island of Kauaʻi since our inception in 1997. Twenty years ago we opened our headquarters at 4353 Waialo Road, Suite 5A in ʻEleʻele. We were one of the first tenants to occupy the newly opened Port Allen Marina Center, offering an efficient setup allowing our check-in location and support offices within walking distance of our beautiful vessels docked at the Port Allen pier. This location has been an amazing home base for our guests to check in for tours, shop for souvenirs and items to keep them happy on the water and provide working space for our management and administrative teams.
Over the years, Holo Holo Charters has expanded our business to offer more tours and employment opportunities to members of the community. This is possible due to the hard work of our marketing, sales, accounting, human resources, reservations, and operations teams – all housed at our Port Allen HQ — in addition to our maintenance team located down the road and the hard-working captain and crew who spend most of their time onboard. After twenty years of growth, updated branding and general wear and tear, it was time for an upgrade!
We teamed up with some stellar local contractors and designers on Kauaʻi to bring this new design to life. Our new furniture provides a comfortable place for guests to relax before their Nāpali Coast tours. The new floor plan gives ample room for guests to check-in, browse our retail space, read about our policies, and learn about Hawaiian culture on our new HD televisions. Our upstairs office spaces have been expanded to allow an efficient workspace for our staff to collaborate and conduct hiring interviews, team meetings, trainings, and so much more.
To our guests that joined us while we were under construction, MAHALO for your patience and understanding. Though it is never ideal to change our check-in process, we are proud to say we did not have to alter or cancel a single tour due to the construction! A big mahalo also needs to be extended to our reservations staff for meeting our guests with aloha and ensuring all tours operated on time, despite working in some tight and often noisy conditions. In addition, special recognition goes to Shannon Daliva, normally our HR Manager, who took on the role of construction project management and interior designer, while keeping up with her regular duties as well! She has an incredible gift for making a space feel like a home, so we knew we were in good hands when she oversaw this huge project.
“This is incredibly exciting! Every year we invest significantly in our vessels, pulling them out of the water for several weeks to conduct regular maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. We always want our vessels to look and perform at their best, but our check-in and office space never received the same regular attention. Now, I can proudly say, our check-in space reflects the quality experience you will receive with us on the water, it is modern, efficient and fun! I am grateful to share this beautiful new space with our team and our guests”. States Chandra Bertsch, Holo Holo Charters’ Co-Owner and General Manager.
